Committing to a
sustainable world
for tomorrow

Since its creation in 1998, the Soper Group has been developing its industrial and financial activities with one objective in mind: make an active, long-term contribution to decarbonising the world around us.

SOPER GROUP

With more than three hundred million euros in assetsSoper manages its activities through two divisions: an industrial division and a financial division.

Le Industry Division includes two subsidiaries owned 100% by Soper: MGH Energy and Sunti. MGH Energy is developing projects to produce renewable synthetic fuels for sea and air transport. Sunti is developing projects to produce photovoltaic energy (electricity and heat).

Finance Division is in charge of all the Soper Group's investments, particularly in property (via its subsidiary ENRh), financial markets (equities and bonds) and non-listed investments (direct holdings and private equity funds via its subsidiary Soper Invest).

Our DNA

Deploying our human and financial resources to help build a low-carbon world.

INNOVATION
Playing a part in the energy transition

Designing and proposing innovative, sustainable solutions to decarbonise human activities.

AMBITION
Promoting a responsible world

Working every day to raise collective awareness and achieve the goals of a carbon-free world.

REFERENCE
A pioneer in renewable energy

Drawing on more than 35 years' experience in the energy transition to develop new, high added-value projects.

COMMITMENT
Participating in the development of tomorrow's projects

Financing and supporting players who are committed to building responsible projects for the future.

A word from the Chairman

From the outset, the strength of our Group has come from the power of the wind and the sun, sources of magnificent and ever-renewed energy. It also comes from the unfailing commitment of our employees, who have patiently transformed these precious natural resources into ambitious and useful projects. Together, we built the first wind farms and photovoltaic parks, which continue to produce renewable, low-carbon and, above all, cheap electricity.

We then turned our attention to the derivatives of these marvellous energies: the storage of electricity, then electric and vellic propulsion for ships. Many other ideas were explored, all of them renewable and respectful of our environment and the people who live in it.

Today, in addition to decarbonising electricity production, we are also focusing our efforts on one of the major challenges facing humanity: decarbonising our means of transport. There is a broad international consensus that renewable synthetic fuels will be the main lever for decarbonising sea and air transport. However, if these fuels are to be renewable and decarbonised, the vast majority will have to be produced from wind and solar power. Drawing its strength from its experience, the Soper Group has the privilege of being one of the very first players in the amazing adventure of synthetic fuels, which are also rightly called renewable fuels!

From renewable energies to renewable fuels, the great adventure of the energy transition continues!

WHO WE ARE

Our history

Soper, founded in 1998, brings together all the activities developed by Jean-Michel Germa, a committed player in the energy transition and a pioneer of wind power in France and Morocco. Jean-Michel Germa's adventure began in 1989 with the creation of La Compagnie du Vent, which installed France's first wind turbine at Port La Nouvelle in 1991. Nine years later, the company extended its expertise internationally and built the first wind farm on the African continent, at Al Koudia Al Baïda in Morocco. La Compagnie du Vent has become an emblematic player in renewable energies, with 150 employees and 423 MW of wind farms and 88 MWp of photovoltaic power stations in operation (815,000 MWh/year). It was sold to Engie in 2017, to continue its development under the name Engie Green...
