MGH Energy is looking for an Electrical Manager for the engineering & construction of synthetic fuel production units that integrate renewable energy projects, with solid experience in both electrical engineering and project execution in the energy sector (production, transport, distribution), acquired for example with players such as design offices, developers, energy companies and EPCs. ELECTRICAL MANAGER FOR THE ENGINEERING & CONSTRUCTION OF SYNTHETIC FUEL PRODUCTION UNITS (M/F) - BASE IN MONTPELLIER (34)

Based in Montpellier and reporting to the Engineering & Construction Director, you will be responsible for the electrical package from engineering to construction of synthetic fuels production unit projects. These projects include the unit itself with all the industrial processes (CO2 capture, electrolysis, conversion to e-fuel and balance of plant), as well as the renewable electricity production plants and the electrical connections (internal to the project and external via the grid).
Main tasks:
- Defining, designing and optimising the electrical architecture (production, transmission, distribution) of projects (calculation notes, diagrams, protection and transformation, power balances, specification of electrical equipment, etc.), from electricity generators to the project's electrical consumers, including connection to the grid where appropriate;
- Carrying out engineering, sizing and technical and economic feasibility studies for the various electrical projects developed by the Company;
- Where necessary, draw up files and applications for integration into electricity grids and take the necessary steps with grid operators;
- Propose and draft recommendations and reasoned technical decisions;
- Acting as Assistant Project Manager on behalf of the Company for the electrical package;
- Drawing up the contractual documents needed to complete projects;
- Identifying, listing and consulting suppliers. Preparing specifications, coordinating and validating engineering studies during the various development phases (feasibility, Pre-FEED, FEED, EPC, etc.);
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers and/or turnkey construction contracts (EPC);
- Monitor the electrical engineering and construction of projects through to commissioning;
- Monitor competition, regulations and technology;
- Representing the company in dealings with suppliers, service providers, design offices and trade associations;
- Recruit and manage a team of electrical specialists to help you manage the electrical work package. Profile required:
- Engineer specialising in electrical engineering or energy engineering with at least 7 years' experience in project management and engineering of electrical installations and networks (production, transmission, distribution, high voltage), ideally acquired in a design office, developer, energy company, EPC, electrician, etc. ;
- You have solid skills and knowledge in other electrical fields: energy management and electricity storage, instrumentation, control and automation;
- Experience in the technical development of electrical projects (EPC type, from engineering to construction and commissioning) and their industrial set-up with a view to completion;
- Ability to prepare the technical aspects of responses to invitations to tender and to prepare invitations to tender for the purchase of goods and services required for the project;
- Financial knowledge desirable, particularly in the context of drawing up industrial business plans for the electrical sector;
- Experience in team management (junior and senior profiles) ;
- English essential.
