MGH Energy Maroc, a subsidiary of the SOPER Group (France), is a young, fast-growing company that is actively seeking a Development Project Manager with a first successful experience in the development of industrial (O&G) or energy (ENR or H2) projects.

CDI - Development Project Manager (M/F) based in Rabat (Morocco)  

Based in Morocco and reporting hierarchically to the General Management of MGH Energy Morocco and functionally to the Development Department of the parent company based in France, you will be responsible for the development of Moroccan synthetic fuels production projects, from the prospecting phase through to obtaining authorisations.  

Main tasks: 

• Managing the preparation and submission of project-related permit applications with a view to obtaining all the administrative permits required for complex projects, in conjunction with the relevant public authorities (environmental and hazard studies, building permits, network connections, securing access to water, etc.); 

• Participate in understanding and mastering Moroccan and European regulations relating to renewable fuels, energy and, more generally, the environment, with the support of MGH Energy's Regulatory, Institutional and Legal Affairs Department; 

• Helping to obtain land rights; 

• Ensuring consultation with local stakeholders and public authorities; 

• Prepare and negotiate commercial offers (land, CO2, offtakers, etc.) ; 

• To contribute to the preparation and monitoring of grant applications and responses to national and international calls for tenders in connection with Moroccan projects; 

• Contribute to commercial, institutional and regulatory intelligence on the international market for renewable energies, hydrogen and e-fuels;  

• Participate in working groups to promote the development of projects and the financing of sustainable fuels; 

• Represent the Group in dealings with local contacts (political or administrative authorities, associations, partners, service providers, etc.). 

The position is open-ended in the medium term, both in terms of other projects in Morocco or other international projects.  

 

Profile required: 

• 5 years' higher education (business school or engineering school), 5 years' experience in project management, ideally in the industrial projects, renewable energies or hydrogen sector, with international experience;  

• Fluency in Arabic, French and English is essential for this position; 

• Fluency in oral and written expression; 

• Understanding of the challenges of renewable projects and sensitivity to energy transition issues; 

• Knowledge of Morocco's Green Hydrogen Offer.

• Tenacity and a flair for negotiation and dialogue, to respond to the problems of prospects and stakeholders while safeguarding the company's interests; 

• Ability to listen, analyse and summarise; 

• Ability to work as part of a team.

• Regular travel required (particularly in the southern provinces and in France) 

• Remuneration: fixed salary + attractive variable component
